 Absences Explained

The Ministry of Education expects children to be at school for at least 95% of the school year. If children are sick then it would be very unwise to send them to school and these are coded as explained: justified; however, other absences can be unjustified. Unexplained absences are coded a Truant and may be followed up by the Ministry Attendance Service.  Click here to see how we code absences.
