Welcome to Room 1

Kia Ora and welcome back to another funfilled and learning packed year.  This year Room 1 is the Year 6 class in the school and has responsibilities for the day to day running of the school, e.g. Peer Support, Bus Monitors, Road Patrol, rubbish and recycling.  Their teachers are Ms Sharon Quinn and Mrs Leona Robinson (who is teaching in the classroom when Ms Quinn is wearing her Deputy Principal hat).  Our inspirational person is Kate Sheppard and our focus word is intelligence, as she believed that everyone had intelligence and had the right to be listened to.  We have 3 I words in Room 1, Intelligence, Independence and Initiative - all 3 of which we are going to use every day in our behaviour and learning.

All class letters and syndicate letters can be viewed on Room 1's page and links to the children's fabulous work in Google docs will also be linked for you to view, read and enjoy.

The children will all have individual logins to Google Drive as this is where the majority of our work will be saved giving you the ability to look at what your child has been doing from the comfort of your own home.
